Who on 25 July has announced the Ebola outbreak in
the democratic republic of Congo as the global health emergency. This is
fifth time in history that WHO has declared a public health emergency. Who
only declares a disease or outbreak a global emergency when it threatens to
affect other countries and requires a coordinated international response.
