The national medical commission act,
2019:
The national
medical commission bill, 2019 was introduced by the minister of health and
family welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan in lok sabha on July 22, 2019 and given
presidential assent on 2th august, 2019
It will
consist of 25 members, appointed by the central government. A search committee will recommend names to
the central government for the post of chairperson, and the part time members.
The search committee will consist of seven members including the cabinet
secretary and five experts nominated by the central government cabinet
secretary and five experts nominated by the central government.
